The Oilfield Geomechanics course helps students understand the principles of in-situ stress and rock mechanics, and helps them learn how to apply their understanding profitably in today's energy industry. We will introduce you to the basic principles of in-situ stress, rock mechanics, measurement and determination of stress in inclined boreholes, as well as industry applications. The course is composed of five sections, and can be custom-tailored to meet the needs of the students if taught on-site. The entire curriculum generally runs 3-4 days.
